As always there’s a certain amount of angst getting started on the first blank page of any new sketchbook- but we all soon got over that by painting swatches and annotating the names of the colours in our nice new watercolour box!!
Before we set off we practised using viewfinders to create interesting compositions for sketching….Looks like an advert for ” We should have gone to Specsavers!!”
We spent the morning on the Back Beach at the lovely seaside town of Teignmouth, sketching the brightly coloured beach huts
Everything stops for lunch….
I was so inspired that I even had the self restraint to make a painting of the dessert (warm chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, clotted cream and strawberries,) before I ate it! Evidence of the lovely food served at my workshops….yummy!
The wonderful beach huts at Teignmouth……notice their beautiful bleached New England style colours……
Workshops are always fun ……
